Council is seeking an experienced waste management professional to join our Sustainable Environment Department in the role of Coordinator Waste Services.

Reporting to the Manager Sustainable Environment, this position will play an integral role in leading the implementation of Council’s Waste Management Strategy 2015-25, and our passionate waste services team. A primary focus of this role is to deliver innovative waste solutions and process improvement to achieve strong customer service. The role has responsibility and oversight for waste services, facilities and operations contracts (including Grantville landfill), waste education, statutory reporting and stakeholder relationships.

In addition to tertiary qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in waste management within an environmentally sensitive landscape. You will be highly motivated, well organised and enthusiastic. Your experience will demonstrate effective presentation skills, negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively. A high level of analytical skills, including sound knowledge of technical waste management issues, will help you to succeed in this role.
