Coordinator Resilient Communities

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Partnerships unit as the Coordinator Resilient Communities. This role is responsible for promoting integrated approaches to emergency management both within our organisation and to our community.

To succeed in this role you will need sound leadership skills, ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal & external stakeholders, provide strategic oversight to ensure coordinated city responses to emergency events and be able to work under pressure with conflicting demands.

You will have an understanding of vulnerability and the impact of emergencies to social, economic, built and natural environments, along with sound knowledge of the City of Greater Bendigo, its geography, infrastructure, services and community.

This role will also provide support to the Municipal Emergency Resource Officer (MERO) and Municipal Recovery Manager (MRM) positions.

Formal qualification and/or extensive experience (over 10 years) in an emergency management or community development role are essential.
