Planning Appeals Co-ordinator
- Salary: $111,182 to $123,775 per annum + Monthly ADO + Vehicle + Superannuation
- Permanent Full Time

As Planning Appeals Coordinator, you’ll ensure an efficient and effective planning approvals and appeals service, including:
- Preparing and delivering planning appeal and other submissions at VCAT, hearings and tribunals
- Negotiating on matters to resolve issues and meet Council objectives
- Assessing planning applications
- Ensuring Council fulfils its statutory responsibility for appeals
- Training and developing planning officers in the areas of appeals and interpretation of planning and developed legislation
To ensure a consistent and professional approach to planning appeals, we‘re looking for a cooperative and innovative individual with:
- A tertiary qualification with eligibility for P.I.A membership. LG experience is highly desirable
- Extensive experience in planning advocacy at VCAT, panel hearings and similar forums and extensive knowledge of legislation, acts and regulations which affect development
- Team leadership and development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of planning theory and principles including Urban Design
- Experience in improving processes and practices and positively contributing to a team environment
