Senior Engineer Projects

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer Projects to join our Water & Waste Infrastructure Team. 

Primary Objectives of the position: 

To be responsible for, under the direction of the Principal Engineer – Design & Delivery, the development and management of construction projects required for the delivery of the Capital Works Program.

This includes the provision of technical and contractual advice on and assistance in preparation of project contracts, facilitate the tender and assessment of contracts, administration of project contracts, provide advice on contractual matters, and coordinate delivery of contractual services as required during the performance of contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Engineering degree with minimum five years current construction experience in water, wastewater and waste or other utility environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and construction of water, wastewater or solid waste infrastructure and associated equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small multidisciplinary team focused on achieving an assigned goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in sourcing information and making decisions required to progress assigned tasks.
  • Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards, guidelines and industry best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability using effective negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
