Salary from $1,296 up to $1,527 per week plus superannuation
A 3.5% civil liability allowance may also apply

This may be an opportunity for you!

As a Traffic Engineer, you will assist with the preparation of Traffic Management Plans, as well as undertake Traffic and Transport Studies and Road Safety projects. You will working alongside a small, welcoming and collaborative team on a strong pipeline of interesting projects.

This position is full time, working 35 hours per week, however we are a flexible employer and are open to discussing employment arrangements.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  1. Completed a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline relevant to this position.
  2. Demonstrated ability to use technology such as MS Office and Traffic Engineering software (eg SIDRA, VISSIM or PARAMICS).
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop practical solutions to complex technical problems.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to relate to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines and deliver identified outcomes.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of project management and ability to work in a team environment as well as be an effective team member.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety principles.
  8. Possess a current Class C drivers licence.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience in project management including the administration and supervision of contracts.
  2. Previous experience in transport planning, traffic engineering or road safety.
  3. Possess a working knowledge of Local Government traffic procedures.
