$150 million will be given out to eligible local governments in Round Five of the Regional Development Australia Fund.

The latest batch of funding was announced this week and will reportedly be dispersed in allocations for capital infrastructure projects. The RDAF has been supplemented by an extra $45 million from the Federal Liveable Cities program, which awards funds to local governments in urban areas.

Applications for RDAF Round Five opened on June 21 and will close on July 22. Applications must be submitted via the Department of Regional Australia’s Grants Management System, which is due to come online on July 1.

Applications will be assessed as they are received.
