The Victorian Government has announced a $1.2 million funding pack for 10 councils to undertake ‘essential planning activities’ that have been recommended by the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission (VBRC).

 

Each of the ten councils nominated by the Government will receive $120,000 each to build on education and training to improve bushfire risk management in the planning system

 

The ten councils to receive the funding are: Alpine, Baw Baw, Colac Otway, East Gippsland, Glenelg, Hepburn, Mansfield, Nillumbik, Wellington and Yarra Ranges.
