The Role

The Credit Management Officer provides a critical support service across all areas of the Customer Services Team, and makes outbound calls for debt collection purposes, and receives enquiries that relate to customer accounts that have not met Central Highlands Water’s payment terms.

The Credit Management Officer also ensures the timely collection of tariffs and charges and sundry debtor invoices that remain outstanding, as well as conducting sensitive negotiations with customers and other key stakeholders in the collection of outstanding monies.

About you

You will be a dedicated credit management professional that is passionate about the positive effect your function can have on the customer experience.

If you’ve got:

  • Relevant experience in debt collection and recovery of outstanding monies, including outbound calling
  • Sound developed understanding of general credit management practices, debt recovery policy and procedures, and associated legislation
  • Well-developed knowledge and experience in customer service principles and practices
  • Great people/communication skills, and experience to in dealing compassionately and effectively with people in a wide range of circumstances relevant to the position
  • A high level of computer competency utilising a range of business applications
