Salary: $100,484.86 - $110,546.24 (Grade 18) pa + 3.5% civil liability loading + 9.5% super.

Randwick City Council is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead and coordinate a team in managing a range of capital projects relating to Council’s assets. Working with both internal and external parties this role will ensure that projects are completed on time, in budget and compliant with Australian Standards achieving quality outcomes for the community.

To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the essential criteria:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, combined with extensive experience in civil engineering construction, landscape construction and project management.
• Experience in project management in both the private and government environment.
• Well developed written and oral communication techniques and an ability to deal effectively with other Council Officers and with the general public.
• Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Australian Standards for construction contracts.
• Proven experience in controlling a number of projects simultaneously to ensure resources are managed appropriately.
• Demonstrated ability to control project budgets.
• Class C driver's licence.
