Salary: $87,460 - $96,231 pa + 9.5% super

Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive local government organisation committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, tertiary qualified communications professional who has excellent writing skills, an extensive working knowledge of social media, and proven experience in media or communications to join our dedicated Communications team.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to work across Council at all levels, and the flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks including editing and writing, coordination and production of Council's major publications, and advertising. A significant part of this role is coordinating Council’s digital communication including video production, social media and electronic direct mail to effectively communicate and engage local residents.

The role is also responsible for developing and implementing communications plans for our many projects, events and initiatives. Superior organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks is a must. You must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team to achieve required outcomes.
