Executive Assistant – Mayor and Councillors

The Position
As the Executive Assistant – Mayor and Councillors you will provide a high level of administrative and professional support to enable the Mayor and Councillors to execute their responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner, contributing to a favorable corporate image of the organisation.


Selection Criteria
Essential -

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar or equivalent experience 
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in providing high level administrative support at an Executive level
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills with experience in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and presentation software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage calendars and organise travel arrangements 
  • Proven skills in organising and maintaining relevant documentation for meetings including agendas and minutes
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Desirable -

  • Experience in Local Government
  • Experience in Electronic Document Management Systems


Salary Details
Salary $58,919 pa + Super – 70 hours per fortnight -  Work life balance allows a 9 day fortnight.
