Solicitor (Commercial and Property)

Working as part of the Legal and Governance Division, the Commercial and Property team provides high quality legal advice to all divisions of Council across areas including procurement, construction and development, information technology, events, grants and sponsorship, planning agreements and property. The friendly team is high performing and derives great satisfaction from assisting to deliver the diverse and tangible outcomes established by Sustainable Sydney 2030.
The successful candidate will be admitted or eligible to be admitted into the Supreme Court of New South Wales and have at least 1 year of post qualification experience working as a solicitor. Prior experience in commercial and /or property law is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- expertise in commercial and property law;
- excellent written and verbal skills.
- an ability to develop strong relationships with a variety of clients; and
- an enthusiasm for and interest in local government matters and the City of Sydney;
- the ability to work independently and to contribute to an effective team culture;
