We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated planner with leadership capabilities to join our Strategic Planning and Urban Design Unit. You will be developing controls and policy responses to complex urban development issues as part of an integrated strategic planning team.

You will have tertiary qualifications in planning or a related discipline, with experience in the research, preparation, review and implementation of strategic planning policy, particularly statutory plans, supporting policy and/or contributions plans. You will also have a well-developed ability to research and analyse complex and sensitive development issues and propose solutions to these complex issues.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are also required for negotiation with internal and external parties and the preparation of comprehensive reports, as are a proven track record in meeting strict deadlines, balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
