The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn connect and create. The Library operates across nine branches including our two new state of the art libraries Green Sqaure Library and Darling Exchange, due for completion over the next 12 months
We are seeking an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful Library Assistant to join the City of Sydney Library team. This role involves the provision of high quality customer service, someone who works well in a team environment who can be collaborative but also be able to work on your own, including connecting customers with relevant and quality information and resources, providing circulation services, assisting with collection maintenance and with Library programs. Applicant must be able to work across all of the nine city branches as the role will be allocated based on Library needs.
The successful candidate will have experience in:
• Providing quality customer service
• Excellent knowledge in the use of PCs/Macs, social media and consumer technology
• Effective communication skills
• Assisting in the delivery of Library programs.
Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check.
