Salary: AUD 118,304.00 per annum plus Superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time position)

Option to work under a 19 day month arrangement

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Building Surveyor to join the City's Health and Building Unit.
You will work closely with the City's Investigative Specialist in dealing with complex investigations and regulatory compliance matters.
To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline; extensive experience in fire safety compliance and investigations, including complex and high risk areas; a well-developed ability to research and analyse complex and sensitive issues and propose solutions; well-developed written, oral communication and report writing skills.
You will have comprehensive experience and understanding of the regulatory framework around building compliance, and in particular the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act, Building Code of Australia, Codes and Australian Standards as they relate to building assessment, compliance and enforcement.
You will also be experienced in stakeholder management, including dealing with complex issues and an ability to negotiate and mediate on contentious matters.
