Salary: AUD 79,703.00 per annum plus Superannuation
Employment arrangement: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week.
Location: Sydney CBD

The Major Events & Festivals unit is seeking a highly motivated Events Assistant to support the Executive Producer and team with the coordination of administrative requirements across the unit.
The Major Events & Festivals unit delivers an annual events portfolio including Art & About Sydney, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, NAIDOC in the City, Capital Works launches, the City’s Mardi Gras Parade entry, as well as the annual hallmark Sydney New Year’s Eve event.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Executive Producer and team of the Major Events & Festivals unit with all administrative requirements for the unit across the Programming, Production, Audience, and Business Operations streams.
Key objectives are to proactively identify and develop systems, processes and procedures to simplify and streamline the work of the unit, to contribute to events that are innovative, professionally produced and are safe, accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for all audiences. To demonstrate effective communication and consultation with relevant stakeholders, and to ensure that events are staged consistent with the approved program and within the established budget.
You will have demonstrated superior experience in event coordination, administrative support, office management, computer literacy, highly developed communication skills, budget administration, and excel in the provision of high-level support within a dynamic and challenging operating environment. You will also have maturity, discretion, sound judgment, the capacity to act autonomously, and the ability to work on several projects at once and manage competing priorities and deadlines, and be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
