The City of Sydney's Major Events & Festivals (MAJEV) unit is seeking a dynamic Senior Production Manager to manage and deliver the production, technical and logistic aspects of the hallmark Sydney New Year's Eve event.
The Major Events & Festivals unit delivers an events portfolio including Art & About Sydney, the Sydney Lunar Festival and Sydney Christmas, NAIDOC in the City, Capital Works launches, the City's Sydney Mardi Gras Parade entry, as well as the annual Hallmark event - Sydney New Year's Eve.
The primary purpose and focus of this role is to work with the Associate Producer, Major Events & Festivals to manage and co-ordinate all production, operational, logistic and technical elements of the preparation, planning and successful delivery of the Sydney New Year's Eve event.
Key objectives of this position are to ensure the event is staged in a way which is consistent with the approved creative program, within the established budget and that the event meets all statutory obligations, particularly as they relate to WHS and the management of risk.
You will have demonstrated high performance experience managing the production and technical aspects of major large scale public events. You possess a superior level of project management competencies and are comfortable delivering multiple complex projects within a dynamic and challenging operating environment. You will possess maturity, discretion, sound judgement and the capacity to act autonomously, with demonstrated experience working in a positive, flexible manner in a high performing, collaborative, team-based environment.
