To meet this challenge we are seeking an experience professional to join our Planning Assessments team, to lead and manage a team of planners who are responsible for the assessment of development applications and related applications. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related discipline
• demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of professionals in a complex environment
• highly developed experience in the assessment and resolution of planning, heritage and urban design issues associated with development applications, preferably in local government
• an ability to meet strict deadlines and to balance and respond flexibly to competing priorities
• experience and ability in preparing evidence and appearing as an expert witness in court appeals.
