After six years of excellent service our Chief Executive Officer has retired from his role with the Mindarie Regional Council.

The Council is now seeking to appoint an outstanding Regional Council Local Government Chief Executive Officer who will embrace the organisation and continue to deliver on the current Strategic Plan.

The incoming CEO will bring a proven and demonstrable track record of success in a similar leadership role in a comparable sized organisation. Importantly, the CEO must be someone who will truly embrace the organisation and ensure it continues its’ successful journey.

The ability to work effectively with the Council, its seven member Local Governments, Federal and State Governments and stakeholders is key to success in this Regional Council. Outstanding interpersonal, relationship management and team building capabilities are essential.

We invite applications from suitably experienced and qualified candidates who offer demonstrated strategic leadership and management skills, particularly in the areas of people, finance, assets, projects, waste management operations and customer service functions.

To be successful for this position you will have substantial previous experience in an Executive Management position, sound financial acumen, be a skilled communicator, have a passion for the development of alternate waste management treatments and their sustainability, and a thorough knowledge of Local Government compliance. It is expected that applicants will demonstrate these qualities in their application and responses to the Selection Criteria.

This position is offered on a performance based contract of between three to five years with a remuneration package in the range of $156,356 - $256,711 per annum (in accordance with SAT Band 3). The package includes a base salary, that will be negotiated with the successful applicant, a motor vehicle, superannuation and a professional development allowance.
