The Shire of Mingenew is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer with a strong community and economic focus to work in harmony with the Council to deliver their strategic vision and objectives for the future.

Situated 380km north of Perth and 50km inland from the coast, Mingenew is blessed with a stunning natural landscape and a robust agricultural community. The region offers residents an enviable relaxed but active lifestyle, essential services, a diverse range of sporting clubs and a welcoming community.

To be successful for this position you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Local Government Executive Management position, sound financial acumen, be a skilled communicator, have a passion for community development and sustainability, and a thorough knowledge of Local Government compliance.

This position is offered on a performance based contract of between three to five years with a remuneration package in the range of $126,956 - $198,210 per annum (in accordance with SAT Band 4). The package includes a base salary of between $120,000 - $160,000 that will be negotiated with the successful applicant, a 4x2 home, motor vehicle, superannuation, professional development, and telephone and utilities allowances.
