The Urban Planning and Building portfolio aligns urban planning policy with urban planning delivery and includes Council’s Municipal Building Surveyor and enforcement functions as well a commercial Building Permit Service (Banyule BPi).
Banyule BPI offers services for building permit certification, inspections, statutory services, dispensations and information services to the community and private builders, as well as specialist building consulting and quality inspections covering all areas of Melbourne.
The BPI unit is seeking a dedicated building professional with exceptional customer service skills to join our passionate team as a Statutory Enforcement Officer on a permanent full time basis.
The successful candidate will liaise with members of the community and focus on the enforcement and implementation of the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2006 and relevant aspects of the Planning scheme and Building Code of Practice within the municipality.
The position is based at our Greensborough Service Centre, close to shops and public transport. An attractive salary range of $74,578 - $81,080 plus super, monthly RDO, use of a company vehicle and a great range of council benefits is on offer!
