Property Coordinator

Are you enthusiastic and a strategic thinker with a flair for all things property? 

We are currently seeking a Property Coordinator to help manage Council's comprehensive property portfolio, along with a team of four staff. In this role you will oversee the administration of leases and licences, administer the vesting of reserves, coordinate road discontinuances, and coordinate the sale and acquisition of municpal property assets.

In this role you will:

  • Provide effective leadership to a the property team and supervise consultants
  • Monitor the standard and performance of Council’s property holdings and investments and recommend appropriate action, including recommendations for acquisition disposition and the like.
  • Lead and initiate the development, implementation, monitoring and review of strategies, policies and guidelines relating to land ownership functions and property matters generally.
  • Monitor, manage, make recommendations and implement all matters associated with Council’s property functions.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Appropriate qualifications and experience in a property related local government or legal/property management role;
  • Demonstrated experience working in the areas of property sales, acquisitions and leasing or other property related areas;
  • Experience in consulting with stakeholders to analyse and develop solutions;
  • Sound working knowledge of, or familiarity with, relevant legislation;
  • Experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a business unit, including leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
