Community Safety and Crime Prevention Officer

Would you like to be part of the Community Partnerships team and work with the community to build safe, healthy and engaged communities?

 

We are looking for a highly competent professional with strong leadership and facilitation skills. The successful applicant will have expertise and experience in community safety and crime prevention practice and collaborative partnerships in the delivery of community orientated programs.

 

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in a human services context;
  • High level of understanding, knowledge and expertise in community safety and crime prevention principles and how to apply these to local communities;
  • Leadership skills to engage, motivate and direct a wide range of stakholers to achieve outcomes;
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise working within a community capacity building and development practice;
  • Ability to deal with a broad range of individuals and groups using a high level of relationship and communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Capacity to advocate and influence stakeholders to achieve community outcomes with and on behalf of the community;
  • Ability to work independently and respectfully within a team;
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
