An opportunity exists for two customer focused IT Service Desk Officers to join the Information Technology Service Unit.

 

The Information Technology Service Unit (IT) is responsible for the provision, development and ongoing support of Council’s information technology resources. The IT Unit sits within the Organisational Systems Department which maintains Council’s knowledge, information and business systems. The department is also responsible for organisational business improvement, corporate planning, records management and organisational performance reporting.

 

About the role

Working within a team environment and reporting to the IT Infrastructure & Operations Coordinator, the role of IT Service Desk Officer is to deliver professional, friendly and responsive IT customer service, training, communication and technical advice to all internal customers.

 

You will have

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology or experience in a service desk environment
  • Extensive experience in responding to customer needs in a fast paced IT service desk environment
  • ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate as required
  • Well-developed PC support skills
  • Personal Values & Behaviours aligned to those of Banyule City Council
