Building Surveyor

Banyule BPI offers services for building permit certification, inspections, statutory services, dispensations and variations, information services to the community and private builders, specialist building consulting and quality inspections.

 As a Building Surveyor you will

  • Provide an effective building permit service through the enforcement, implementation of all Acts and Regulations under the Building Regulations 2018 and Local Laws
  • Issue building permits and conduct building inspections
  • Provide information and assistance to members of the community and clients with regard to policies and legislation, including; Building control responsibilities of Council and Building 

 To be successful you will need

  1. Degree in Building Surveying or lesser formal qualifications with extensive, relevant experience
  2. Registered Building Surveyor with the Victorian Building Authority
  3. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Building Act 1993 and Building Regulations 2018, and the ability to apply this knowledge and expertise.
  4. Extensive experience in applying and enforcing Victorian Building Regulation requirements.
  5. Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

 Benefits

  • Salary range $111,727.00 to $124,871.00 plus super
  • Temporary contract June 2021 to June 2022
  • Full time 38 hours per week & monthly RDO
