Play a key role in planning, developing and leading policy development and strategic direction across the Social Enterprise and Local Jobs portfolio areas; creating local job and participation pathways for local people experiencing disadvantage.

 

We are looking for a Strategic Development Officer to join our Social Enterprise & Local Jobs Unit in a parental leave position.

 

Our Strategic Development Officer leads policy, strategy and programs that support Councils local job creation for the most vulnerable communities in Banyule.

 

To be successful you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline e.g. community development
  • Demonstrated experience to effectively plan, manage, monitor and evaluate job creation programs
  • Experience building relationships to influence and negotiate desired outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Project management skills to deliver quality outcomes within budget and on time.
  • Specialist and contemporary knowledge inclusive employment.
  • Demonstrated experiencing of working with diverse communities.
  • Experience in policy and strategy development relating to Community development.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, training and staff development

  • 1-year temporary parental leave position February 21 2022 to February 17 2023

  • Salary range $94,444.07 to 107,598.98 plus 10% super
