Executive Manager Community Information and Advocacy



Local government is currently experiencing a period of significant change and challenge. In this environment political acumen is vitally important.

This position is critical in ensuring that the interface between council and community is positive, progressive and transparent. Your experience in a senior position delivering high customer service outcomes, relationship management, attention to detail and business acumen are the key qualities that will make this position a success.

This position forms part of Council's Executive Leadership Team, liaises closely with the Council, works directly with the CEO and manages the following Council functions:
  • Advocacy
  • Business Improvement
  • Communications
  • Corporate Planning
  • Community Information and Service
  • Grants
  • Libraries (contract management)

You will have tertiary qualifications in one or more of the above areas, experience in managing multiple stakeholders with competing demands and oversight of a multidisciplinary team. It is vital that you have a demonstrated capacity to manage information in a politically sensitive environment.
