Summary

The City of Casey is an ambitious, innovative and customer-focused Council driven by our vision of 'creating Australia's most liveable city'. As the largest and one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria, Council plans and delivers quality services and infrastructure for the more than 314,000 residents who call Casey home.

The organisation recently moved into Bunjil Place, offering staff a modern, flexible and collaborative working environment as we strive to shape the future of Casey and deliver the most efficient and customer-centric services for our community.

The Role

The dedicated Safer Communities team is excited about the recent refresh to the way in which Parking Management and Infringement services will be delivered to our developing community. With this refocus, a fantastic new opportunity is available for a motivated leader to oversee the coordination of day to day responsibilities, management of staff, the implementation of relevant legislation with regards to parking and to coordinate compliance reporting and debt management.

This position aims to support the community to achieve compliance with regulations through information provision, education and enforcement.  You will achieve this using a positive, collaborative and customer focussed approach, using 'Smart Cities' principles where appropriate.

An objective of the role will be to provide direction for the management of future parking provisions in the City of Casey, through the use of smart parking technology and innovative approaches available to Council for management of existing parking services including contract supervision of existing service providers.

The role will also oversee Council’s Infringement management and compliance reporting responsibilities, ensuring compliance with the Infringements Act, coordination of administrative IT systems and processes, and the provision of data to other compliance-related areas of Council for their data analytics use.

About You

You are a dynamic and well organised individual who will be able to demonstrate your effective leadership skills through previous staff management. You will be able to prioritise tasks with competing deadlines and collaborate with other coordinators in the department to ensure compliance. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders at all levels from within and outside the council. With strong digital literacy, and a keen interest in parking and other technology, you will use these skills to support system and process improvements within the Department. Your abilities to produce well rounded reporting and to articulate it accurately to the applicable audiences will see you succeed in this role.

You will have a relevant qualification such as a Cert IV in Local Government Statutory Investigation and Enforcement, Parking Enforcement and Regulation and significant experience in compliance related management. Please note, it is a requirement of this role to hold a current Victorian Drivers License.
