Statutory Planner

Permanent Full-Time

This position forms part of a multi-disciplinary team promoting sustainable natural and built environments. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in and undertake a range of activities, projects, programs and processes across the range of functions, responsibilities and duties associated with statutory planning. This position may also involve tasks associated with strategic planning, environment programs and projects. The position will have a key role in administration of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, the Subdivision Act 1988, the Colac Otway Planning Scheme and related legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice. This position will also be responsible for preparing Planning Committee reports and attending VCAT if required.
