Procurement Coordinator

This is an ongoing full-time position based in Lakes Entrance or Bairnsdale (to be determined).

The purpose of the role is to coordinate the overall tendering function of Council to ensure probity and best value. 
The role also requires the management of Council’s maintenance services contracts and the provision of advice, training and guidance in respect of procurement legislation, policy and best practice.

What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Significant experience in contract and tendering processes, preferably within the Local Government sector.
  • Ability to supervise staff, including effective performance management.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to resolve conflict.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Check and current Police Check.  Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia.
