Resilient Communities Project Officer

We are seeking a project officer to support the delivery of the ‘From vulnerable to resilient – emergency preparedness in changing times’ project. The project is funded under the Natural Disaster Resilience Grants scheme and is led by the City of Greater Bendigo in partnership with a wide range of emergency management and disability service agencies

The position will play a key role in supporting stakeholders and rural communities to undertake inclusive community emergency planning and in strengthening support for personal emergency planning with vulnerable people.

You will be responsible for planning, implementation, progress monitoring and evaluation of the project. This will include organising community events, forums and workshops, delivering presentations, facilitating meetings and supporting community engagement, working within the budget and project plan.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement as well as a sound understanding of community development and social inclusion.
