Director Presentation and Assets

The City of Greater Bendigo is located in the geographic centre of Victoria, about 90 minutes’ drive north of Melbourne, and is Victoria’s second largest local government authority (in population terms) outside metropolitan Melbourne. The organisation is embarking on a new journey to achieve its vision of being the world’s most liveable community.

Bendigo is an iconic Australian regional centre, with leading cultural, sporting, health and education offerings, and 40,000 hectares of beautiful regional, state and national parklands.

The City is dedicated to serving its diverse resident base and is seeking a suitably experienced Director Presentation and Assets to provide leadership, management coordination and direction to support sustained high performance across the organisation and within the directorate.

You will report to the CEO and drive a program of major and complex infrastructure projects in a public setting. You will lead a workforce of over 150 employees and support staff through service and system reviews, with a key focus on delivering the organisation’s Community Plan and vision. You will have experience in delivering large-scale major infrastructure projects and strong community engagement skills.

You will have significant experience working at a senior or executive level with strong commercial and business acumen, and a demonstrated ability to be innovative and strategic in a challenging environment with conflicting demands.

Essential to your success will be your professional communication and presentation skills that enable you to build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships across the organisation and with a diverse range of external stakeholder groups.
