Our Planner is one of our principal advisors for recreation in the City and is responsible for the strategic management of a range of recreation facilities, services and programs.

This is a diverse and challenging role, accountable for policy development, community consultation, sourcing of funding, reporting, and achieving outcomes from municipal and regional plans.

You will have substantial experience in the recreation industry and a relevant tertiary qualification. You are known for your outstanding liaison and negotiating skills and have the ability to build constructive relationships with your stakeholders. Among your strengths is your knowledge of contemporary recreation and open space issues and trends, experience in policy development, and planning and research skills.

City of Greater Geelong is Victoria’s largest regional municipality. You will be joining a team that is considered an industry leader in sport, recreation and open space planning, asset and reserve management, and growth area development.
