Cultural Marketing & Communications Officer

  • Multi-faceted role

Situated within our Arts & Culture Department, this position coordinates marketing and communication strategies and programs with the aim to increase visitation and participation in, and improve online engagement with the City's arts and cultural activities.

This is part-time position working approximately 60 hours per fortnight. 

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Corporate Communications & Marketing and Tourism Departments.
  • Plan, develop and implement a range of diverse marketing and cultural tourism strategies, including initiatives for launching events and major projects.
  • Promote cultural facilities such as the Potato Shed.  
  • Manage relevant sponsorship and funding opportunities.
  • Develop presentations and proposals for partnerships with external bodies and organisations.

Key attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of marketing and communications strategies, programs and activities within an arts and culture and/or cultural tourism environment. 
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to competing or changing priorities.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
  • High  level of initiative.
  • Track record of actively improving processes to achieve the best outcomes.
