Our Statutory Planning team have  great opportunities for qualified Town Planners to assess and issue permits and approvals on all forms of development within the municipality.

We have a 12 month Band 6 maternity leave opportunity for an experienced candidate who has the following key attributes:

  • Relevant experience in local government town planning.
  • Tertiary qualification in town planning or urban studies.
  • Expert theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret town planning legislation. 
  • Awareness of current trends and issues affecting town planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced organisational skills

We also have a permanent Band 5 opportunity for a recent graduate or less experienced candidate who can demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in town planning or urban studies,.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of, and the ability to interpret, town planning legislation.  
  • Awareness of current trends and issues affecting town planning.
  • Developed analytical and investigative skills.  
  • Industry experience will be highly regarded.
