The current CEO, considered by Council to have done an excellent job over the past 10 years, will leave the organisation to explore new opportunities in mid 2018. Council seeks to appoint another outstanding Local Government CEO to carry on the great work and to continue to deliver on the current Strategic Community Plan. The incoming CEO will bring to the City a proven and demonstrable track record of success in a similar leadership role in a large and complex organisation. Importantly, the CEO must be someone who will truly embrace this organisation and community to ensure it continues on its successful journey.

The ability to work effectively with the Mayor and Councillors, the community, Government and stakeholders is key to success in this City, so outstanding interpersonal, relationship management and team building capabilities are essential. The City will offer the position on the basis of a contract of employment of up to five years with a total remuneration package in the range of $300,000 to $375,774 inclusive of base salary, superannuation, motor vehicle allowance and other benefits.
