On behalf of the Council of the City of Nedlands, we are delighted to invite applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer. It is an exciting time to lead this progressive City and drive a range of important initiatives for our community of 21,000 people. At just 7kms from the Perth CBD and stretching from the banks of the Swan River to the edge of the Indian Ocean, Nedlands is a highly desirable locality.

Building on its “Our Vision 2030”, Council has recently published its Strategic Community Plan for 2018 – 2028, which sets out the City’s agenda and priorities for the next ten years. The incoming CEO will work with engaged and committed Elected Members and with an experienced high performing management team.

The CEO at the City of Nedlands must be an outstanding leader, administrator and manager of resources, able to build a positive and outcomes focused organisation culture. A prudent and rigorous approach to financial management is essential.

Council is interested in applicants who bring senior leadership capability and a diversity of experience, someone ready to step up to this critical leadership role. Council will appoint a CEO who is very much aligned with the values and vision of Council and the expectations of the community.

Council will offer a contract of up to five years duration, with a total remuneration package to be negotiated in the range of $250,000 to $316,586pa.
