The Supervisory Arborist will assist the Coordinator in managing Council’s urban forest by providing leadership, management and arboriculture expertise to Council’s in-house tree maintenance crews and contractors.
The role includes the monitoring and assessment and protection of trees, coordinating Council’s Area Integrated Management Program (which includes tree pruning, removal and maintenance programs) and provision of tree protection advice to Council’s City Infrastructure and Planning Departments and service authority works.
Applicants must adequately meet the requirements of the role and fully address the selection criteria contained in the position description. The preferred applicant will preferably have a Certificate 5 in arboriculture and produce a current Victorian Driver’s License with a minimum of a Medium Rigid Endorsement and 2 years Supervisory experience
