Transport Projects Officer

Moreland City Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Projects Officer who enjoys contact with the community and working with a dynamic team and to lead the implementation of Council's Bicycle and Sustainable Transport Capital Works Program.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Develop the ability of the cycling and road based transport systems to meet Council’s sustainable transport objectives as outlined in the Moreland Integrated Transport Strategy (MITS).
  • Develop and implement programs to encourage greater use of bicycles and to improve the accessibility of the road network for pedestrians and non-private vehicle users.
  • Undertake relevant project management activities which contribute to the achievement of an integrated transport system

The successful candidate will have experience and expertise to analyse information and data in order to formalize solutions to problems, proven ability to successfully undertake extensive consultation tasks, manage and deliver projects, work in a team environment and have an ability to effectively manage contractors.

To be successful in this role you are required to have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and/or related discipline and relevant experience.
