The Open Space Maintenance team is seeking an experienced and qualified candidate for the position of Crew Leader, Open Space Area Maintenance. 

You will play an integral role in undertaking the municipality’s maintenance works to ensure the long term preservation and enhancement of Moreland’s high profile parks and precincts whilst undertaking daily works programs.

In this role you will be supervising as well as performing general garden maintenance tasks on our Parks, Reserves, Street Plantations and Childcare Centres, which will include but are not limited to ride-on mowing, brush cutting, weed control and minor landscape works.

You will require prior experience in the horticulture field, chemical use and previous knowledge of machines incorporated in this field. A minimum of Certificate III in Horticulture and medium rigid truck licence is required, with Level 2 first aid advantageous.

You will be required to demonstrate experience in working as part of a team with a focus on organisational goals and results as well as knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety issues.
