Moreland City Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer who enjoys contact with the community and working with a dynamic team to deliver important health and wellbeing initiatives. 

This role offers career development opportunities and the chance to be part of an innovative local government organisation.  Key aspects of this role include inspection premises registered under the Food Act and Public Health and Wellbeing Act, investigation of breaches of relevant Council Local Laws administered by the Environmental Health Unit and providing input into policy and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the relevant Acts and regulations in relation to Environmental Health and an ability to apply relevant legislation whilst carrying out enforcement/education activities.

To be successful in this role, you are required to have Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships in a diverse community.
