The Statutory Planning Team is tasked with considering land use and development applications and seeks to achieve good planning outcomes. The role of planning enforcement officers in this process is key to ensuring that these outcomes are delivered.

As a Planning Enforcement Officer you will manage a diverse caseload working both independently and also closely with other officers within the City Development Branch to gain compliance across a range of land use and development types.

You will bring to the role a proven track record in excellent customer service, mediation or dispute resolution in planning or a related field. As a senior planning enforcement officer, a qualification in Planning or a related field or extensive experience in statutory planning, local government and / or investigations is desired but not essential. You will also have extensive experience in a high-pressure customer service environment.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to succeed in the roles.  Excellent computer skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team are required for these positions.
