The Communications team is looking for an experienced communications professional to hit the ground running in a complex and fast-paced environment in the role of Marketing and Communications Officer.

The position is located at the Coburg Civic Centre, which is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

Reporting to the Senior Communications Coordinator, the Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for creating a range of content across print and digital platforms, management of Moreland’s brand and the delivery of key Council publications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within local government, working across all facets of marketing and communications, and will have a sound working knowledge of the end-to-end publication production process and proven copy writing, editing and proofreading skills.

You will have a tertiary qualification in communications, excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, a high level of attention to detail and take great pleasure in working through a busy work program managing conflicting demands and multiple stakeholders.
