Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Brunswick, Moreland City Council's municipal gallery is just over 6km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Gallery Assistant who enjoys contact with the community and working with a dynamic Arts and Culture team to deliver exhibition programs at the Counihan Gallery in Brunswick.

Key aspects of this role include the administration, customer service, marketing, exhibition installation and event support. The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in Microsoft Office, Indesign, Photoshop, web authoring and database applications. The role requires being able to work unsupervised, meeting frequent deadlines for event delivery, advertising, reporting and compliance, and working in a small team committed to constructive work culture.

To be successful in this role, you are required to have an undergraduate or post graduate degree in Arts Administration, Arts Management, Curatorship or equivalent educational and professional experience.
