Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Coburg, Moreland City Council is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

Council is seeking a dynamic leader to drive service delivery and strategic management of Council’s Civic venues and Corporate venues.  Working in consultation with key stakeholders, you will develop and implement innovative strategies and business plans to support sustainable venue operations.  You will drive the strategic positioning of the Town Hall venues as a venue of choice for significant events and will manage the operations of Council’s municipal office accommodation to ensure that services and facilities provided to Council, staff and members of the public are efficiently and effectively delivered to agreed service standards. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification or experience in business management, venue management or event management.
  • Demonstrated people management, leadership and team building skills.
  • Proven ability to provide quality customer service and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines.
