Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Coburg, Moreland City Council is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

Council is seeking a suitably qualified Town Planner to implement its fast track planning approval process and respond to general planning enquiries. Handling simple residential, commercial and subdivision applications, the role will maintain a high level of customer service in the Branch.

The successful candidate may be a recent graduate looking to kick start their career or a planner looking to make the move to a busy inner-city Council.

The Moreland planning team has a focus on training and development of officers and continuously improving planning services to facilitate high quality, environmentally sustainable urban outcomes.  

The successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to advance their career in statutory planning and should be motivated to test their planning knowledge in a complex high paced environment with a supportive management team.
