Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Coburg, Moreland City Council is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

Council is seeking a student who is currently studying their final years of a planning (or similar) degree to join its team to assist with handling simple applications and other requests as well as responding to general planning enquiries. This is a short-term position that will assist the team with the delivery of high quality customer service.

The Moreland planning team has a focus on training and development of officers and continuously improving planning services to facilitate high quality, environmentally sustainable urban outcomes.  

The successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to kick start their career in statutory planning in a complex high paced environment with a supportive management team.
