ABOUT THE ROLE

Moreland City Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Public Art Officer who enjoys contact with the community and working with a dynamic team to implement Council’s Public Art Program. This will involve the identification, development and project management of a range of temporal and permanent public art projects, programs and initiatives to help shape the public spaces of Moreland. 

Key aspects of this role include managing the ongoing maintenance of artworks within the Public Art Collection, contributing to the review and development of Council’s approach to art in public spaces and supporting the development of local visual artists and arts collectives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Tertiary qualification in Public Art or other related relevant disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in Public Art activity planning, development and implementation
  • Experience in project management of various public art projects
  • Experience of marketing and promotion as applied to a range of digital and print based media
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence
