ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and qualified candidate for the position of Crew Leader, Open Space Area Maintenance to provide onsite leadership and coordination of open space crews to ensure assigned tasks are completed and to the required standard.  

You will play an integral role in undertaking the municipality’s maintenance works to ensure the long term preservation and enhancement of Moreland’s high profile parks and precincts whilst undertaking daily works programs.

In this role you will be supervising as well as performing general garden maintenance tasks on our Parks, Reserves, Street Plantations and Childcare Centres, which will include but are not limited to ride-on mowing, brush cutting, weed control and minor landscape works.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

• A minimum of Certificate III in Horticulture
• Experience in the horticulture field, chemical use and previous knowledge of machines incorporated in this field
• A medium rigid truck licence is required
• Level 2 First Aid is an advantage
