Junior Project Manager

 

  • Salary - $75K - $85K + Super
  • 12 months contract - Full time position but part time hours will be considered

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our highly experienced Building Projects team is dedicated to the delivery of construction projects within Council.

Moreland City Council’s Building Projects Unit is currently delivering the $30 million Wheatsheaf Community Hub, $6.6 million Coburg City Oval and about to commence the $11.1 million Fleming Park Redevelopment, and a portfolio of $200 million value of future projects.

You will be working within a team of Project Managers where you will be working alongside the Project Managers in delivering on a variety of construction projects within multiple sectors. This role offers you the opportunity to grow and develop your Project Management skills working on projects from master planning to defect liability period. The team is instrumental in providing design, construction, buildability and planning advice on proposed future projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction industry will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualified in Building & Construction, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in the construction industry
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills
